Q: Hi, I have a use case, and it seems like ShreMyImage can assist me with this.
We use https://spreadsimple.com/ for a few of our projects. This is a website maker that utilizes Google Sheets as a backend. Everything works well, but we are struggling to find a suitable solution to bulk host images within Google Sheets.
For example, I have a column in Google Sheets that contains externally hosted image URLs, but I would like to host them on our own tools/services. There is a tool called OneSimpleAPI that can accomplish this in bulk using a Google Sheets formula like this:
=IMPORTDATA("https://onesimpleapi.com/api/image_manager?token=&format=jpg&resize_mode=size-limit&output=text&size=600w&image="&C2)
(Documentation available here: https://onesimpleapi.com/docs/images)
Here is a video tutorial explaining how OneSimpleAPI can be used to generate rendered images in bulk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9QXrwantY8. Please watch this to understand what I am attempting to achieve.
This tool can convert any externally hosted image URLs in column C to OneSimpleAPI image CDN URLs.
With ShareMYImage, is it possible to do something similar? Alternatively, is there another approach I can use to render hundreds of images in bulk directly within Google Sheets using the ShareMyImage API?
Please investigate this and inform me if there is a potential solution with your tool.
Thank you.
