Q: Do you have any approx.
stats or data on sending cold emails open rates in comparison to Sendinblue? I know better, but how much better?
Do you recommend sending cold email from my Gmail, domain, or an alternative domain? What do most post do? I do not want to hurt my domain, so wondering.

May 15, 2024A: Hi realvalues,
We don't have a full study about the stats vs Sendinblue. One of our main competitor claims a 20% improvement but I wouldn't want to overpromise figures based a rule of thumb. These stats would also be completely dependent on various factors: your own email reputation, the freshness of your recipients list, the email content...
Overall, we can tell that you will get better results compared to an emailing platform like Sendinblue for two simple reasons. First, emails sent with Mailmeteor are sent directly from your Gmail account, using Gmail's infrastructure. Second, emails sent with Mailmeteor are just as if you had written them by hand whereas an email marketing platform will produce an email structure that automatically labels them as marketing-ish.
As always, my recommendation for you would be to try AB test both tools. Hopefully you will notice much better results with Mailmeteor! Having said that, bear in mind that both platforms can be used in addition. For example, we do use Sendinblue for our own transactional emails for example.
Regarding cold emailing, I'd would not necessarily recommend using a different or alternative domain, unless you plan to go heavy on this. Indeed, your own email is already warmed up and if you abide by Google bulk sender guidelines and anti-spam principles, then you will be safe using your own email.
What most people do is that they start sending emails progressively with their own email and domain. I'm talking about a few emails per day or per week, in order to verify that you're heading in the right direction and getting promising results. Then, depending on your usage and needs, you might want to invest in a separate email - or even domain - a warm-up solution etc. That's worth it if your activity really depends on cold emailing.
Hope this helps, feel free to ask more questions!
