1. Typically it is shown on the same screen. See here: https://dsh.re/d9362 In addition, it's always good practice to re-confirm the payment on the new page to which you redirect. (ie. a 'thank you' page).
2. You can offer up-sells or cross-sells on the same checkout page - it looks something like this:
