Q: Hi there, Does a social media account = a page OR An actual account ie my account on Facebook I have maybe ...
50 pages on my Facebook all linked to my one Facebook login. Is that 1 account or 50?
Can you clarify a bit?

A social media account is the actual account profile.
You can have a Facebook account with 100 pages. This is still the same as one social media account.

Also am I right thinking an account is counted per platform? if I have a Facebook account with 5 pages, and an Instagram account with the same email, then will that be 2 accounts (one for Facebook, one for Instagram)?

Yes, accounts are counted per platform
Faceboo and Instagram are 2 accounts.
