I like that it was able to remove the background from my photo easily, and it was also quick and simple to load a new background.

The interface is clean, modern, and easy to navigate. Even if you're new to photo editing, you'll quickly find your way around. PhotoKit boasts a wide array of editing tools, including basic adjustments like cropping, resizing, and color correction, as well as more advanced features like background removal, object removal, retouching, and various artistic filters and effects. The AI-powered background removal and object removal tools are particularly impressive. They work quickly and accurately, saving you a lot of time and effort.

PhotoKit is a web-based app, but it performs smoothly and efficiently. (I prefer web-based apps personally) Edits are applied in real-time. PhotoKit offers excellent value for its price.

One minor area for improvement:

While the interface is generally intuitive, a few of the more advanced features could benefit from clearer explanations or tooltips.

One standout feature is the background remover—it's top-notch and easily rivals Canva's tool. The app also shines when it comes to auto-edits; if you're short on time or don't need highly specific adjustments, this is a fantastic go-to.

That said, there’s room for growth. I’m hopeful that future updates will add more advanced editing capabilities like detailed control over lighting (highlights, shadows, blacks, whites, etc.) and color balance (temperature, tint, vibrance, etc.). The ability to save custom presets would also be a game-changer for streamlining workflows.

Photokit offers a user-friendly interface and a good range of photo editing tools. I would recommend photokit to anyone seeking an easy yet effective photo editing solution. It’s great for those who want to elevate their images without the steep learning curve of more complex software such as Photoshop. It’s a useful tool that makes photo editing less stressful, and I’ll continue utilizing it for my own editing needs, although I previously use Photoshop. Wish Photokit has the ability to utilize AI to replace an object with another object though (e.g. like the Magic Edit in Canva).
