Long way to go

I like the concept, but there are functionalities that make it difficult to adopt entirely. Here is a short list:

- Annual recurring tasks
- Ordering spaces to my liking
- Excluding Rock Team space from seeing
- Saving custom views
- Saving filters used
- Automatic task assignment
- Copy-pasting list of tasks to automatically create individual tasks (or subtasks)

This means I have to look at my work the way Rock is enforcing. I also end up missing things if I forget to assign them to myself.

I also cannot conveniently export my data. Though I'm past my refund date, I decided to leave the platform because it's become a chore to manage tasks.

Excellent as a chat system & task manager

Submitting this review in case this deal comes back, for other sumolings.
This is a very good tool, really polished.
The chat system is good. Nothing really surprising, it works as expected. The fact that you can easily attach files from anywhere is good. It's very convenient for teams. I largely prefer it over Slack.
But what I like the most is the task system. It's not perfect but it"s better than many task management tools. In conjunction with the chat, it's very convenient. You also have your own space where you are the only member and can use for your own tasks. So you have everything together, tasks for business and tasks for personal life. Great tool.

Rock, like a paperweight

I purchased this lifetime deal and got around to activating it a little more than a month later. The AppSumo instructions are pretty clear on how to redeem the code -- you simply create an account, login, click settings, and then click the "Upgrade with promo code" option where you can apply the code.

Easy as pie, right? Nope, more like as hard as a rock to the head. I go through the elaborate sign up sequence and eventually get to log into the system, but when I go to settings the upgrade option isn't there. So I see a plan section, most service would label this as billing, and it my current free tier plan... but still no upgrade option. I turn over every pebble to find out where to redeem my AppSumo code and the upgrade option is no where in sight. It's almost as if the service wasn't expecting anyone to apply the code after a month so they took it out or, the cynic in me is thinking that, they were hoping to catch last minute AppSumo redeemers off guard.
So what next? I do as the AppSumo redemption page instructs and send an email to Rock support. The result was radio silence.
So based on my experience with Rock's poor support for AppSumo members and unresponsive customer service I decided to skip this rock into into a lake and move on to requesting a refund.

Asana,+ slack = ROCK

I've used both and am very happy with task management, archival, duplicate, tags and everything in between. Happy customer and highly recommend Rock

If you smmmeellllll.. what the rock is cookin...!

Have gotten 2 codes already. Still exploring the platform and haven't got to use it to its full potential but so far the experience has been positive. Everything you need for project management and team communication is there. Tools and UI are simple to understand too. Nothing that complicates you from doing real work. Excited to see how the product will develop further to improve work task experiences. Rock's support is great too, it's one of the reason why I choose to use it. :)
