Made my jaw drop. Honestly.
This review is unique for me — unique in the sense that I am using the tool itself to help me write it. Rytr is the first AI-powered tool I have ever tried and boy am I impressed with it.
About two weeks ago I heard about Github Copilot — an automated tool that automates simple coding tasks to save programmers time using GPT-3 proprietary AI technology. When I saw that Rytr was using the same tech, I knew I had to try it out.
Here is what I wrote as a Product Description inside Rytr:
"Rytr is an AI text creation tool based on the GPT-3 tech recently made popular by Github Copilot. Rytr harnesses the tech for writing product copy, ads, blog articles and — yes! — even Appsumo reviews like this one."
And when I asked the tool to generate a product description using 'Convincing' language, it came up with the following:
"Rytr is an AI writing tool powered by state-of-the-art language technology, GPT-3. As a smart writer, it provides the ability to automatically generate content for many use cases like blogs, emails, ads, and more. It is fast& works well on mobile. Click "Get Rytr AI" below to start creating 10X better content in seconds!"
"Rytr is powered by the world's most advanced AI language technology, GPT-3. This makes it the fastest and most accurate tool for generating text. It automatically generates great marketing copy, blog articles and more. And because Rytr is AI-powered, the content will always be fresh and right on trend."
OK... back to me :) The tool feels so clever that it actually makes the boring task of writing copy a fun challenge. Could I input such and such phrases in order to yield an attractive output? How about I tweak the settings?
A word about the pricing: at $39 for 50K characters per month, it is probably not enough for serious work. But as an unlimited time trial, I frankly think it is a well-justified purchase. And if one finds him- or herself using it often, the Appsumo deal offers an upgrade path to unlimited use with 30% off the standard subscription fee ($29/mo).
Did I mention that Rytr also works in my native language? Earlier today I was able to make it write a brief plot for a TV show based on the recent election results in Bulgaria. And the output actually made perfect sense.
Was it perfect? No, of course not. But it was easy to tweak every bit of text the tool created just a tiny bit and turn it into a convincing copy. I will next try it on a couple of blog articles for my website, and for writing several product descriptions for my webstore. Rytr just makes me want to use it.
Disclosure: Rytr incentivizes AppSumo buyers to leave reviews by offering a bump in monthly credits. However they do not require that the reviews are favorable; all they ask is to be genuine. After spending 24 hours with the product, I knew I'd be coming here to leave a review, even without any kind of incentive from the publisher.
