The founder has decided to increase pricing for their monthly "Sumoling discounted" upgrade plan shortly by about 33%. I think this is a very unwise move. It also shows a lack of appreciation for their backers here on AppSumo.

I was strongly considering the $19/mo. locked-in upgrade. At $29/mo. I would not be interested. More importantly, it gives you an idea of where the founder's mindset is. Rather than a slow and steady growth approach for a new startup, they seem to be trying to shortcut past the steps required to grow and compete with the pricing models of VC-backed AI content services on the market. This is a recipe for disaster.

I am contemplating a refund of this product. I haven't made up my mind yet 100%. It is a capable tool, sure, but it does the same thing every other GPT-3 content tool does. It isn't any more or less special than any of the other LTD options. That is just a fact, not a diss.

I genuinely hope the founders will reconsider their itchy trigger-finger approach. Delusions of your own grandeur are often a key recipe for startup failure. Chasing a strategic MRR is a lot wiser than the "oh, we're going to bump up the specially-priced MRR for AS backers because we have a better solution than ANYONE else on the market!" Watch how well that works out for you and your desire to convert LTD users to MRR adopters.

I can no longer recommend this product over the myriad other GPT-3 clones. I lack confidence that they will change their terms again from what they've promised here on AS, which is inconsistent with the AS philosophy.
