By far the best piece of software I have come across is Screen2Video which is on Appsumo:

If you do video editing it is the best software purchase you will make this year.

I know those are big words but by gosh I stand by them. It has made the video editing soooooo easy.

The only con at the moment which I have contacted them about it having some sort of saved assets feature. Other than that, just about anything I want to do, it can do and the tutorial videos are fantastic.
