Q: Does Textsniper work well with Turkish characters?
Valerijs_TextSniper
Jun 24, 2024A: Unfortunately, it is not. Some characters (like Ğ, Ş) are not recognized well, and the result requires additional correction.
Currently, TextSniper can recognize over 14 languages:
- Under macOS Catalina: English only.
- Under macOS Big Sur/Monterey: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional.
- Under macOS Ventura: All above + Japanese, Korean, Ukrainian and Russian.
- Under macOS Sonoma: All above + Cantonese Traditional and Simplified, Thai and Vietnamese.
- Other Latin alphabet languages could have issues with accented character recognition.
* TextSniper recognizes vertically oriented Chinese, Japanese, and Korean text. This feature is available when TextSniper's latest version runs on macOS Sonoma.
