I got this just to check it out but the moment I got it, I thought, Oh I don’t really need this because Macs or iPhones can capture text from the screenshots, (ie. Capture a screenshot of anything and open it using the Photo app(iPhone) or the Preview app(Mac), select the text and copy).
I was so wrong about that assumption, this is way better, Firstly you use TextSniper like you do screenshots, as it freezes the frame and captures the box selected text, turning a 4 step process (Capturing screenshot, open in Preview, selecting/highlighting the text, and copying) into a 1 step process, Secondly, copying with iPhone or Mac was hit and miss, sometimes it gets words wrong or it doesn't select all the text at once or in order, TextSniper not only capture everything you box highlight accurately, it also keeps the line breaks as well, thirdly it increased my creative capture, now if I want to fill in a form out, I can capture/copy the example placeholder text to use to begin my answer in that field, I capture things directly in Youtube videos, it can also read the text capture out loud, which helps me check it capture accuracy, And the price was unreal, made easy to pick up without thinking twice. Just a great underrated tool but super useful
