This is Alexander, the founder of Unicorn Platform.

The story began in 2014. I was a polytechnic university student learning how to design power plants.
I had zero interest in this because the whole industry is pretty lame and the learning was dead boring.

One sunny day, I decided to make a website because I never did this before. It looked like alchemy to me (I still think the same 😅)
I wanted to open the black box.

After making some baby steps I instantly started being interested in web development. It was a whole new world full of magic and excitement. I realized the web is my passion for life! 🥰
Soon got I my first job and started making websites. Dozens of websites. Big and small, fancy and traditional, animated and static.

After getting a ton of experience I left my job and co-founded a web development company. We were building HTML templates for sale. Those precious 1.5 years of being a co-founder of this company gave me plenty of market insights. Most important, I crystal clearly understood what people need and what struggles they have in the process of making a website. I got the vision. And with the vision, there came a constant itching desire to make it real.

Unfortunately, my partner had a different vision for the company's future and I quit to solo-found Unicorn Platform in 2018.

After one sweaty year of designing and coding the product was ready. At first, I wanted to hire coders to code it for me. But I was not a good enough manager to translate my vision into other's minds. So I decided to code everything from scratch by myself.

The result was splendid. After the glorious Product Hunt launch, the project started getting traction. We grew from 1 paying customer to 530 with zero marketing efforts. The only custom acquisition channel that works for us is word of mouth.

Today we are a team of 4: me, a frontend developer, and 2 support engineers. We are passionate about making the perfect website builder.
And even though all my mentors keep telling me to quit coding and start scaling, I do not listen to them. Because I'm a product fanatic and we are a product company. And always will be.
