Q: Hi Dylan, this might be a really interesting product, but I guess 90%+ people, including myself, are having ...

a problem fully grasp its potential. When I read your headline "Skip Spinning Up A Database Use SQL across your CSVs, Google Sheets, APIs, Airtables, and more!" it's clearly geared toward a highly technical audience. Maybe it is how you intended it, but if you can bring it closer to a broader audience through the presentation of useful applications, as well as friendly UI, I am sure your sales will multiply several times.

Good luck with your launch.

A: I am taking this advice to heart as I see how I can do this through the quick addition of a SQL Sandbox geared towards a wider audience while ask contributing to the missing tutorials that others have asked for.

E.g. If a user wants to use this product to show a table in their static website using a Google Sheet. The same for more complex examples where a user wants to surface a table from data across a Google Sheet and an Airtable with some calculated values, this value can be surfaced in sample data sources via a single click into an interface such as the demo interface.

Among that action item I can reposition the value proposition for the AppSumo crowd to make it more obvious.

Andrew,

Thanks for your comment and opening a door to someone like me who fees like sort of an out-of-place idiot! A bit "techinical" is what I initially thought and almost passed on this deal. Lol.

Dylan,

You are very responsive to questions, that is great and I commend you on that!

Unfortunately for a newbie to much of this, your responses are a bit over my head at this time. However, I THINK your software maybe EXACTLY what I think I am searching for after self-learning about some of your world since COVID began. I am a in awe of what I still need to learn... especially after seeing your deal... but I think that it may be what I need.

That said, many, many Sumolings use Stackby over Airtable. I recommend that you maybe reach out to Rachit @Stackby and get integrated and mention that in your comments. Stackby is awesome and they are integrated also with Integromat and I know G-Sheets was also on their roadmap. I met him at a virtual no-code seminar over the Summer. Seems like a good match and they impressively crank-out the upgrades to their amazing platform.

Anyway, congrats on this launch. I applaud your expertise, but you may want to consider an interpreter for the Appsumo's "other half:", 🤣. Appsumo’s demographics run the gamut, and as others said… there is some loss in translation.

As you can see by the ridiculous amount of deals that I have purchased since I joined Appsumo late last year, I have many needs, I am a serial entrepreneur who is “all in” since COVID to create the tools that I always wanted for my own local businesses (now crushed by quarantines) and to help bridge the gap to many other entrepreneurs and business execs in my database after being a CEO for 20+ years.

FINALLY, my questions:

1) Where to find best “crash course” for learning the basics of what the heck you are showing us here: https://www.usesql.com/demo. Seems like exactly what I need but my head is spinning after watching.

2) Can you consider a verbal/voiceover of tutorial of your same exact demo video and put it up ASAP? Try Vidstep (current active deal here: https://appsumo.com/vidstep/). The floodgates may open for you with this little recommendation on a pretty useful app for your tutorials.

3) After #2 above (which hopefully you can get launched and posted ASAP).... I recommend this active deal: https://appsumo.com/onboardflow/. Seems like another good match for your seemingly ideal app.

Well.... if you take my rec's to heart, I maybe just added to your workload or a weekend project 😂. If you add #2 and #3... I think you will help me and many others who want to give you some supportive cash flow.

I really think your software is what I really am searching for (emphasis on "think").

Good luck on the road ahead.
