A: Vershd has been designed from the ground up to be easy to use. It splits the complexity of something like SourceTree into something far easier.
The clear layout of Vershd underlines its effectiveness. The 'Branches' area gives previews as it merges, pushes and creates branches. It has a powerful search to find any commit easily. 'Pending' either commits or stashes files without you ever...
Q: What does Vershd do that isn't done by EVERY other Git client?
I don't see anything.
Seriously, Fork is an AMAZING Git client that you can (currently) use for free (with occasional nag screens asking you to buy it for $50). Everything in the list of features seems very basic, and the screenshots are not impressive. What makes it worth $69?
A: Thanks for your interest. Vershd has a unique branch that isn’t available anywhere else. It also has a unique rewind facility that makes it vastly easier to roll back your changes. Sorry you didn’t like the screenshots, but if you just Vershd you’ll see what we mean. Hope that helps. Paul.
Q: Is GitHub required to use this/do you link your GitHub account to this or is it independent?
I am assembling a team together to develop a SaaS - was looking at purchasing a GitHub license for each member to use to communicate - but wondering if this would be better?
They way I am understanding it, if I buy 5 licenses and assign them to the team members, all of us would get updated files as another creates an update, is that correct? Or would everyone need their own GitHub account and this links to those with a saved GitHub Project?
A: Thanks for your questions. To clarify, Vershd is entirely separate from GitHub or any other cloud repository. It can work with them all, but is independent.
The Vershd licence lets you see any changes to an unlimited numbers of repositories that you're connected to, regardless of GitHub licensing. So each team member will be able to see the work of others (after it has been pushed to the...
i a m a git noob and have basic programming skills only so i could review/guide my remote dev team.
Please point me to some resources to get started.
I use server management platform (Runcloud and Serveravatar) for hosting my applications. They come with their own back up systems for files on wasabi etc.... In case sth goes wrong and if I NEED to restore the back up for an app with a private repository maintained through vershed on Github premium, can i restore the app.
I was using visual studio code to make basic changes to PHP apps in remote server. Will I still be allowed or not?
Firstly you can get help at this link, https://help.vershd.io/, and by emailing us.
Secondly, Vershd does not change what your server set up is, so if you currently have backups running, that will continue. Vershd just uses the repository via an underlying Git implementation. If you restore a previous version of the repository via your server backups, then Git will...
Q: Comparing to Atlassian's SourceTree, what makes Vershd different?
