According to OpenAI, one token generally corresponds to ~4 characters of text for common English text. This translates to roughly ¾ of a word (so 10,000 tokens ~= 7,500 words).
In Standard Mode (GPT-3.5), credit usage is charged based on output tokens. The more output tokens used, the more credits will be consumed.
In Enhanced Mode (GPT-4), credit usage is charged based on input and output tokens. This means that the number of output tokens and the length of your input matter.
