Add this to your copywriting toolbox
Like many of you, I have also bought CopySmith and Nichess, both similar services that I am happy with, so the question was I actually need another AI copywriting tool. Now that I have taken the plunge and bought this deal, I am glad I did.
Like another reviewer has written, it is another GPT-3 Open AI implementation, in that sense nothing groundbreakingly new here, but Writesonic simply does a good job providing usable results.
Facebook and Google Ads are my main point of interest, so that's what I am looking at for this review.
I did a test, inputting the same text (so far as possible, each platform has it's own fields) into CopySmith, Nichesss and Writesonic. I only did one test, so this is not conclusive in any way, take it for what it's worth. I don't mean to review other products on this page, but I did this test specifically to evaluate Writesonic in a comparative context, so here it is:
➡️ Nichesss output was a mess, nothing usable, a lot of it simply made no sense or was gibberish. I love the platform, and it has absolutely given me good results for other stuff, but in this particular test, I deleted all the output right away. The good thing about Nichesss though is that you are not limited by credits, so you can experiment without feeling a sense of loss. I find I get better results for Facebook Ads using other templates than the one intended for Facebook Ads.
➡️ CopySmith was hit and miss, about half the output was 'delete', the rest was solid, good and usable but no clear stand out results in this run. Credit to CopySmith for attempting to provide Headline/Description copy as well, the rest don't do that and only provide the Primary Text. CopySmith also have the best interface of the three IMO and I have had good experience with the team.
➡️ Writesonic gave me 2 inspired variations out of 10. Copy that did stand out, like if you copied a good headline from a competitor. Another 4 where Ok, and the rest where too samey with what I had inputted. Something I like with Writesonic is that it has an input field for Description, Occasion and Promotion. So you can be sure that your promo offer will appear in the output. It's nothing fancy but shows an understanding that Ads usually have promotions attached to them.
So, for Facebook (and Google) Ads specifically, Writesonic was the winner for me on this run. I appreciate the 2 impactful copywriting results it outputted, that saves me time and brings another angle that I would not have thought of to my Ads. I also give it points for including the 'Promotions' field as I mentioned.
It seems each tool has it's strong and weak points, so I am glad I have access to all three. There is still a lot of room for improvement all around, in results and UX, but it's been worth the purchase price and I hope to see even better results in the future as tech matures.
