As a person who has written over 200 blogs in the past 5 years across multiple topics, I decided to give Writesonic a try as their blog writing feature intrigued me.

It is an amazing tool and literally cut my prep and writing time by half (750-word blog). Additionally, it generated sections and content that I would not conceive of which added great value.

The downside (which has some concern for me) is some of the content it generates. I will give an example. I have a virtual tour business and wanted to talk about how virtual tours can have a positive impact on SEO. One of the paragraphs generated was "I first started to build my SEO career when I worked in business development for Jumio. Jumio is a global leader in biometric data security and fraud prevention technology." the paragraph goes on but as you can see it looks like it was ripped from someone else's site. I ended up sing this paragraph but heavily modified it with my own experiences (the layout of the paragraph was fine enough to write over and give it my personal touch).

Other times it would say "here are our top 5 reasons why virtual tours help SEO" and then proceed to generate only one. Other times it would sign off with (example) "thanks Hazel". This gave me the fear that Writesonic was directly ripping from other sites. For these reason I will knock off 1.5 tacos. It's an amazing tool that cuts down my workflow by half but with potentially dubious sources that needed much overhaull.

Another issue is the customer support. I understand the developers are busy but if you don't have time to answer the customer's questions... that's a pretty crappy experience. I asked a couple of questions here in AppSmo and both times ignored (as they were about the blog creation feature). To this day my questions have not been answered and only bought the software to test once the feature was made live. For this, I will knock off half a taco (I was tempted to knock off a whole taco just for that as customer experience is a big part of the overall experience. What is the point of amazing software if no one ever answers your questions?

In short look at this tool to help expedite your content writing but not a replacement. I would recommend to try it as we will continue to use Writesonic and helpfully it will improve over time.
