Great Tool But Nothing Special
I have tried Writesonic, Contentbot.ai, Content Villain, Nichess, and NeuralText. My rating is based on how this tool compares to the other OpenAI deals offered on AppSumo.
Pricing
The deal uses a credit model and it is very expensive compared to other tools that use credits. I would say unless you need a lot of ideas, the pricing model with the credits is very poor.
Contentbot.ai gives you 50 credits for anything and 5 full articles per month for $49. Writesonic costs $59 for 40 credits and it doesn't differentiate between between article credits and general credits. NeuralText is $59 but you get 200 credits.
If you write more than 2-3 articles a month, this tool isn't worth it. There and there are better deals on AppSumo and new tools are released all the time.
Writing Blog Posts/Articles
The credits go quickly and you can easily use 10 credits for a single blog post. The costs will really add up when you have to use credits to regenerate bad paragraphs. It is free for now but in the future it will cost credits. I like that it includes a intro and a conclusion. What I dislike is the intro tool is not integrated.
Using Credits
I also think it is weird that the same tool basically costs credits in one instance but it doesn't in another. For example, the Listicle Ideas and the AI Article Ideas are basically the same tool. The Listicle Ideas tool is free but the AI Article Ideas tool cost 1 credit to use.
Landing Pages
Landing pages are expensive. They cost 5 credits for 5 landing page generations while in Contentbot.ai, you will get 3 landing page generations for 1 credit. Also, the landing pages in Contentbot.ai look better. So, for 5 credits in Contentbot.ai, you can get 15 landing page generations.
UI
This is where this tool stands out compared to all the other tools but the other tools will probably catch up in this area soon. The UI is the 2nd best of all the tools I have tried. NeuralText has the best UI in my opinion. What I like is I can easily create different projects.
What I dislike about the UI is the way the tools are grouped. It would be better if all the tools were grouped together based on the type of content. For example, all the product page tools together.
Quality of Output
The quality is the same as the other OpenAI tools I have tried. Sometimes, I get really good content, other times it is a complete miss. My complaints are:
* Some of the results you will get will contain profanity but the team states they are fixing this
* The AI will give you your exact input back as a generation. This wouldn't be an issue for me if this was a free tool but since it uses credits and the credits are expensive, this is a big issue. I talked to the customer service team about this and they said it was my input. I tried the same input on another tool and didn't get my exact input back as a result. So, I know it is the tool.
I was given 50 credits for this review but it is my honest opinion.
