Okay, first, full transparency. Writesonic is giving away 50 credits for leaving reviews on Appsumo (and more credits for leaving reviews in other places), but as you will see, my review is very unbiased.

First, the Good (that I've seen so far) about Writesonic...

It seems to work well for coming up with Article Titles and Suggested Categories For Outlines, but... this is the part that's currently a deal breaker for me -- unless they get it figured out and fixed...

When the AI Article Writing software gets to the part about actually writing the article, it simply doesn't work - at all. The wheel just keeps spinning saying "May take 30 seconds per category" but just keeps spinning for hours not actually writing the article.

Now, the AI Article Writer component does say that it's in "Beta" at the moment, but that's the article writing feature that made me purchase Writesonic, so this is pretty disappointing.

I did contact customer service notifying them of the problem, and they responded via email "Our AI might have been down when you tried generating the article.", so I tried again the next day but the same problem still exists.

Since it takes about 7 credits each time you attempt to generate an article, and you only get 40 credits a month, this is a pretty significant bug. That said, customer service did say they would refund the credits used for failed attempts, so that seems fair enough.

In closing, I do think Writesonic has a great deal of potential, and according to other's reviews, there are many great aspects of Writesonic (that I haven't tried out yet).

I just happened to go straight to the one component that isn't working, which is the part that actually generates articles. It's quite possible they will get this bug fixed very quickly, and hopefully my feedback here will help speed that along. If so, I'll be sure to update my review and add more 'tacos'.
