Still Testing This

I've become fascinated lately with all the potential ways that A.I. can help us marketers save time while creating.

I purchased Copysmith but ended up returning it after a noticeable drop in quality. I then picked up Nichess which I am having a lot of fun with and it doesn't run on a credit system (which is awesome). Now, I am trying out Writesonic.

I was most interested in the Blog/Article writer (which is in Beta) and I have to say I'm pretty disappointed with it so far, however this software does shine in other areas. I've only tested about half of the content types.

- Blog Ideas: This works extremely well and I haven't gotten a disappointing result yet (5 tests).

- Blog Intros: Also generates useful content.

- Blog Outlines: This feature was disappointing across all tests.

- AI Article Writer: If you are not a native-English speaker or you just despise writing blog posts, this might be ok for you. I ran a few tests (all in English) with vastly different niches and the results were not only disappointing, but also suspicious as to where the content is coming from.

An example would be that in all of the searches there would be specific paragraphs and then "Read More..." just stuck in between paragraphs. This implies to me that the app is pulling directly from blog posts online and then spinning the content maybe?

A lot of the content produced cited software that doesn't exist, or didn't address the Outline at all, or just appeared to be random gibberish. If you use the A.I. Article writer, you had better know the topic well, because the A.I. doesn't seem to. It also kind of defeats the purpose of the app for me because you have to completely rewrite the content, so may as well just write your own blog posts.

- Listicle Ideas: This didn't produce anything different for me than the Blog Ideas did.

- Emails: These were extremely basic, but also included some humor which made me laugh.

- Facebook Ads: I got a few interesting ideas from this.

- Pain-Agitate-Solution: This provided excellent results.

Again, only about half the content types so I still have much more testing to do. At this point I have no idea whether I will refund or not. At one-code it is cheap enough to stick with it for the good points and hope the rest improves with time, but these days I'm also pretty wary about my spending as a Solopreneur and I'm sure tools like this will keep coming and keep improving.
