Q: Hi there I also own Droplr and CloudApp like others here, but I bought your deal because I do like your ...
markup better (that's what I am looking for right now) and I really like the fact that I can give you a public URL and you render it very well.
One thing I am missing is a simple paste to create a new markup document or just on top of an existing markup.
I recently came across https://onpaste.com/ to easily create a file from an image in the clipboard, and I think it would be great if I could start a markup right from an image in my clipboard. Just press CTRL-V and there it is ready to be marked up.
And also paste a new image into an existing markup to for example paste a graphic element from somewhere else into the markup.
That would be much easier than taking the screenshot, saving it and then uploading it.
Do you think that could be coming?

May 14, 2024A: Hi there; what you describe you can do and I do it daily. You can copy an image from anywhere: website, desktop folder, slack message, anything then just open markup hero homepage which is /NEW and CMD + V and it's instantly ready for markup. You can do the same thing from ADD NEW PAGE as well. And you can paste the image on top of an existing markup as a layer.
Can you hit us up on support if this is not working for you please?

Hi Jeff
Well, would you look at that. It does work. I just didn't even try because there is no info that I can start a new markup by doing that. Only says "Upload images, a PDF or paste a link.". Maybe add that info? I'm probably not the only one missing that.
Thanks
Lol. My partners and I battled on that. They say I'm a power user and anyone else that would want to do stuff like that will figure it out; let's not cloud up the UX with messages explaining it. But glad you found it. Note you can also just drag files into it too. And it even works if you go to file explorer, click on a file, press CMD + C then CMD + V without even opening the image first. I'm all about hacks so everything new we build will have little touches like that. Stay well!
