Markup Hero Reviews

Ok, so it has taken me awhile. I normally purchase products with the idea that I will need to use them for my business or customers. However, I very rarely use more than three of my very many purchases at a given time.

Mark Up HERO is EXCELLENT... I can't even remember when I used to do something else. Can you remember before we Google'd or Zoom'd?!

What I like?
Being able to collate AND collaborate.
Mostly, I like that I can write (or draw) on my docs/pics to help with understanding why I screen shot it in the first place. Yes...Google works. It is not as good (PERIOD).

Just used this to share a screenshot of a review with someone and suddenly thought "I've never reviewed this!"

Out of all the apps I've bought on AS, this is the one I use the most. I think I literally use it daily. It's also one of the most simple. But it works. Perfectly. Absolutely love it.

If this ever comes back to AppSumo, grab it immediately!

Perhaps the only Appsumo LTD that I have found myself using every single day that I am on the laptop.

It is not a jack of all trades, but for what it is supposed to do it does great.

If you are like me, then your CMD+Shift+3 buttons probably have more than usual wear and tear. I knew I screenshot a lot, but until I started CMD+Shift+1, I didn't realize just how much. I cannot say enough about this application - the practical use of quickly snapping a screen - knowing it will be stored on the dashboard to go back and add commentary, or just the sheer convenience of taking a quick screenshot to share onscreen is a game-changer. I've saved so much time by having the ability to capture the shot and quickly writing commentary & then adding it to an email, whiteboard, Trello, or text with just another click. If this deal comes up again, do yourself a favor and grab it, you'll thank yourself later (before kicking yourself for waiting so long to get it)....

For years, I've used Screenpresso as my preferred tool for screenshots on desktop and it still is, unless Markup Hero provides a desktop application! :)

But it lacked a cloud and share option in order to make my screenshots available for other colleagues without them sending over and over again via mail, slack, MS Teams, etc.
This was exactly the reason to buy 2 codes for Markup Hero for myself.

PROS:
👍 Intuitive UI; upload via simple drag & drop
👍 Edit history is kept; all markups can be changed even after sharing the links to them
👍 They use a feedback system to receive user feedback and suggestions to improve the product
👍 Frequent updates on change log
👍 Great roadmap

CONS:
❌ You can't add tags to markups outside the editor only when editing the markup.
❌ Not all functions from Screenpresso are supported:
❌ Draw brackets
❌ Different shapes for arrows, rectangles, etc.
❌ Draw bubbles with text
❌ Draw polygons, etc.

Since it's just a matter of time until Markup Hero closes this gap, I'll give 4 tacos because of the missing features. I know that many of them are on the roadmap, but they're not available yet.

It does perfectly what it is supposed to. Love it. This deal is a total winner.

I don’t have a huge use case for this tool but the odd time I need it, it’s super easy and useful to use. Feels like a really solid well built tool.

Only reason I have given it 4 instead of 5 tacos is due to not being able to take full screenshots of web pages that are private. It can take public ones but these also don’t work well. This needs some work and this is a super important feature of a mark up tool like this.

Apart from this though its perfect. Highly recommend, I am sure they will sort out the screenshots area soon.

I use screen grabs to help get new clients - showing them where they stand as compared to their competitors. It's usually the first time they have seen in with their own eyes. I'll be shocked if I don't get a 1000x return on this in the first 30 days. Steal this one or forever feel FOMO. Hell, buy it full price. You'll be glad you did.

So... my life is digitized. I use Track Changes (and have for what, 20 years?); I put a signature in a pdf; but when it comes to websites...it's print, and get the red pen out.

I am currently using Google Docs Comments feature for my markup and this surely is an upgrade over it

I purchased the Nimbus deal a while back too, and while I like the integration, it lacks the modern markup I need to quickly turn around screenshots and notes without extra TLC.

This is a pretty awesome tool for agencies to share work and get feedback from clients and colleagues. Love the clean design and really responsive team too.

I was looking for a good mark up tool. I know there are a lot of alternatives, but I have to say I really like Markup Hero. It's very easy to use and has almost all the features I was looking for. I really like the URL function, which can save me a lot of time and e-mails when I'm wireframing or setting up a new website for my clients.

I rarely submit reviews on Appsumo, but I was already a user of Markup Hero and super happy with the product.

Great app with myriad uses. Works well in Linux also. I've bought a few deals here, but I do believe this one is one that I'm going to be appreciating for years to come.

Former Cloudapp enthusiast here, who was using Droplr because I missed out on the Cloudapp LTD but snagged the Droplr one. Well, I WAS using it, until I got an email from Appsumo and my interest was piqued by Markup Hero.

Not long after running it through its paces, I could see that there's no question that this is the best option for me. I'm a designer and a volunteer teacher, so I need to annotate and share screenshots almost every day. Things were getting pretty messy. I have Hazel move all my screenshots into their own folder to help keep things neat, and I can annotate them with the basic Apple tools or in my design software, but that's a convoluted workflow.

Well done, Markup Hero, for making this process easy, streamlined, and mobile friendly! I stacked 2 codes and am sitting back watching the roadmap—I have the feeling I'll be using this SaaS more and more as the features roll out.

Been on the lookout for a way to organize my screenshots for quite some time now and thanks a lot to MarkupHero and Appsumo for bringing this deal together! Quite an underrated tool actually. There is more to it that have yet to explore but some features I wish it has is a way to send and let guest annotate the screenshot that would be perfect. It's okay for me. but I would have thought it at least had a built-in screen capture feature.

When I saw this LTD, I knew I had to grab at least one deal. It's one of the best things around, and I'll tell you a few reasons why:
- No more clutter and storage on my laptop 😍
- unlimited history 🙌
- great integrations!
- Love the fact I can copy the image and paste wherever e.g. Slack
- UX/UI is👌

The list can go on and on and on. Long story short: grab a code before the deal is over. You won't regret it! ♥️

I absolutely love this as a repository for allll the screenshots I take and for making short markups. Would love to see them add support for longer markups similar to how Markup.io does it. The two feature sets combined would be my dream markup tool.
