Q: Can MarkUpGo API compress existing images?
Can MarkUpGo API be used with existing (non-generated) images in workflows to change image file type, compress and optimize for web performance? I see you have the ability to change image size, quality and compression but it is not clear to me if those features can be used with existing, non-generated images. If yes would tier 1 be sufficient if I do not need generated image editing?

Thanks for your purchase and great question!
To be upfront with you — our Image Transformation API (resize, compress, change quality/format, etc.) only works on images that have been generated through MarkupGo.
So to answer your specific questions:
Can you use MarkupGo to compress/convert existing images? — Not directly. The compression, quality, and format conversion features (JPEG, WebP, AVIF, PNG, etc.) apply only to images that MarkupGo generates from HTML/CSS templates or URL screenshots.
Would Tier 1 be sufficient for non-generated image editing? — Since this use case isn't currently supported, tier selection wouldn't apply here.
We appreciate the feedback though — image optimization for existing assets is an interesting use case and we'll keep it in mind for future updates.
