Q: The demo was extremely disappointing. Please tell me you can do better than this? See screenshot.
Hi, I was quite interested in your products, a little bit excited about what I could do using your product. So I tried to convert a HTML page with some CSS and it into a PDF. The output that I got was each small paragraph turned into a separate page. Please see the screenshot in the link below: https://prnt.sc/uuxqui8jL2um
There's no way to attach screenshots to appsumo otherwise I would've done that. I am genuinely disappointed by this. If the product was able to produce proper A4 pages of PDF without the constant page breaks then it might be worth investing in. But based on what I've seen if it's actually like this, then it's not worth it at all. I'm hoping you can prove me wrong. I would prefer to be wrong because if your product can work, then it is in my interest. thanks. Sye

Dec 29, 2025A: Hi Sye,
Thanks for taking the time to explain this — and I completely understand why that output would be disappointing.
What you’re seeing isn’t a limitation of MarkupGo’s PDF engine, but rather how HTML/CSS pagination rules are being interpreted in your specific markup. By default, certain CSS properties (like display, margins, or page-break-* rules inherited from frameworks) can cause each block element to be treated as a separate page when rendered to PDF.
MarkupGo can absolutely generate proper A4 PDFs with continuous content. This typically requires:
• Setting the correct page size (e.g. A4) in the PDF options
• Ensuring there are no unintended page-break-before/after or break-* CSS rules
Many users generate long, multi-page A4 documents (reports, invoices, contracts) without forced page breaks once the CSS is adjusted correctly.
So yes — we can do much better than what you saw in the demo 🙂
That result isn’t representative of the final quality you can achieve with proper HTML/CSS setup.
Thanks again for the honest feedback — we appreciate you giving the product a fair chance.
