Clean and tidy App that gets the job done!
I love that this app does one thing, and does it extremely well... like when a place only serves coffee - you know damn well that its going to be an amazing coffee, right?
So the app is not packed full of buttons and tabs and options, it is actually a very simple and intuitive app that faces the user. Whilst the team take care of all of the heavy lifting in the backend, and I love that.
For my use case ive been trying to create worksheets and certificates for my students and this is the perfect solution to dynamically edit the topic, student name, scores etc etc programmatically via API without reinventing the wheel each time. Its has, and will continue to save me lots of time, money and stress and im looking forward to creating some social media marketing content in a similar way.
I am a not technical nerd, but i knew that this app would be amazing for my workload so Markupgo has inspired me to learn the fundamentals HTML and CSS as well dive deeper into JSON API coding - so thanks for that. And whenever I have a problem or question, the team reply, sometimes within minutes with an answer. (You can even see their prompt responses on the appsumo questions - they are quick, polite, patient and professional. They even re-wrote my code for me and explained to me what how it would work better. Thankyou!
They even released a new feature 'magic URL' a day after I had a question about the API. That was impressive!
Improvements:
Id love to see a 'duplicate template' feature in the templates tab.
Id love to be able to zoom in further on the image in the editor (it seems like you can only zoom so far).
Id love to see a 'code snippet' notepad next to HTML, CSS, LIBRARIES tabs so that i can cat and paste all my bits and pieces of code, mix and match for different projects and create 'master' elements for multiple projects.
Id love to see better navigation on the code panel in the editor. Right now its quite hard to go up, down, left and right on large pieces of code, ive done a few kilometers on my scroll wheel. Please add a vertical & horizontal scroll bar or better yet; an adaptable 'flex box' like codepen.io has would be amazing.
Id love the ability to have a 'check code' button that analyses the HTML to see if it has correct syntax. So instead of just not showing an element when i miss a comma, it sees what im trying to do, and suggests the comma or bracket or an unconnected CSS style.
The app is absolutely worth it, with or without these feature and id recommend it to anyone that needs to automate their image or document generation. The team seems like they want to take this app to the next level, and I hope that they do!
If you have any doubts, contact support... they are so helpful and responsive and want to do everything they can to make your you have a positive experience.
