It’s been a little while since our last update, so I wanted to check in, say hi, and share what’s been happening here at Marky!

A few people have asked why we’re back on AppSumo—great question. The truth is, we’ve built a fantastic relationship with the AppSumo team. We continue to be one of their best-performing products, and they’re always excited to have us return. We’re equally thrilled to welcome a wave of new users every time. In fact, AppSumo users have consistently been some of our most engaged and helpful customers—meeting with us, offering feedback, and pushing the product forward. Marky wouldn’t be where it is today without you. Just today, we had over 50 people join office hours!

To my fellow founders: this past year has been a wild ride. I’ve learned a ton—lessons I wish I knew earlier, but I’m grateful for them now. We’ve recently made some big changes that are allowing us to move faster than ever. In the last two weeks alone, we’ve shipped more features than we had in the previous two months. It’s a new era for our product.

We're making our AI smarter, our platform easier to use, and working on a whole slew of new features which will radically transform the way you use Marky. Let me just say this: the Marky 2.0 era has arrived. And those jumping on board now are going to be glad you did.

Why I built this tool

What is a "brand"?

A "brand" in Marky is the same as a business. It entails a single company, and supports it's own social accounts and it's own team members. If you have multiple businesses, you can swap between them within Marky.

What are "post generations"?

Each tier allows you to generate a certain number of posts per a month, with Tiers 3+ allowing unlimited post generations per a month. Please note, not every post generated may be one you use. Users report that on average they end up using 50% - 75% of the posts Marky generates for them.

What is a “posting time”?

A “posting time” refers to a specific time of day when you want your content to be published. When you schedule posts, they are added to a queue, and the next post in line will be published to all your connected social media accounts at your designated posting time.

For Tier 1 users, you’re limited to one posting time per day per business. This means you can schedule posts to be automatically published once a day across all connected social media accounts.

Keep in mind, you can still publish posts instantly at any time, and doing so won’t interfere with your scheduled posting times. This flexibility ensures you can maintain your schedule while seizing spontaneous opportunities to connect with your audience.

What is the "Agency Dashboard"?

The agency dashboard is included in Tiers 3, 4, & 5 allows you to view all your brands/businesses in one centralized location. Additionally, you can see a few key facts about each business, like how many posts are waiting for approval, how many are scheduled, links to recently published posts, and similar information.

What's the difference between "Whitelabel Standard" vs "Whitelabel Advanced"?

All brands/businesses in Tiers 3, 4, & 5 include Whitelabel Standard. This entails a CNAME client portal, where clients can log in to review posts without any Marky branding. This does not include full whitelabel product access by clients, and only includes viewing, commenting, and approving posts.

Whitelabel Standard is perfect for agencies who want an easy way for clients to review the agency's work and have the final say before a post goes out. (This is a "done for you" workflow.)

Whitelabel Advanced is a completely whitelabeled product where the client has access to the entire business similar to how you have access to the entire business, but doesn't include any Marky branding. It allows full generation and editing of posts, as well as access to edit any other part of a business. Permissions can be further customized per client.

Whitelabel Advanced is perfect for agencies looking for a more hands-off approach and who want to provide the entire software to their client without much need to support that client. (This is a "do it yourself" workflow.)

Any Whitelabel Standard business can be upgraded to Whitelabel Advanced. This costs $35 per month (per business) and can be done within Marky. To clarify, Tier 5 is the only tier which includes some Whitelabel Advanced licenses.

What languages are supported?

We support generating posts in all languages. You just have to choose your language under the "Business" tab to generate posts in that language.

More businesses can be added to any account for $15 a month per additional business.

When was your company founded & where is it located?

Marky launched in September of 2023. We are located in Austin, Texas 🤠

What are past projects, failures, or successes you’ve had in your career?

Been tinkering since college. Each project got a little bit further. This is my first project that actually got traction and I think its because it's helping people solve a real need they have. Looking forward to growing this company to all it can be!

We have around 10 people.

What’s the origin of the idea for your product?

I want small business owners to get business from their social media and free up their valuable time. My mom is a solopreneur college consultant so I know how important this is!

What problem is your product solving and how?

Posting on social media daily is so much work! Ain't no one got time for that. Yet with over half the world on social media for more than 2 hours a day, it's one of the easiest ways to succeed as a company. Marky makes it possible for busy entrepreneurs to post engaging social media posts daily.

What’s the #1 thing you’re looking to gain from the AppSumo campaign?

Feedback, growing our customer base and brand, and funding to continue growing!

What are your plans with the customers, cash, and learnings from the AppSumo campaign?

We are looking to put everything back into the company, aiming to grow by 2x each year. Our long term goal is to become the go-to social media management tool for business owners and agencies, helping people share their passion with the world.
