I was initially reluctant to purchase Mastera when I first saw it on Appsumo a few months ago and missed the LTD.

After thinking about it, reading other reviews and looking at some of the showcase sites, I realised I missed out on a very good deal.

I have used WP memberships and other platforms in the past and they posed nothing but headaches and I didn’t think Mastera would solve any of the problems the other membership platforms had.

Although I have mainly used WP, I have never really liked this platform because of the security issues that are inherent to WP.

So when I saw another chance to get Mastera, I purchased the highest tier possible.

What I like about Mastera is the admin area is very well laid out. It looks overly simple, but there is a lot packed in under the hood.

What I like is that you can upload your videos to Mastera. You don’t have to create buckets yourself on AWS or other service. This makes for a much quicker workflow particularly if you have a lot of videos to upload. You don’t have to worry about cutting and pasting links into the lesson pages, Just build out your lessons and upload the videos to Mastera and it does the rest.

Another thing I like is the ease of setting up free subscriptions, one time payment or recurring payments. You can also set up per video, per program or course. You can also sell digital products as well as physical products.

They have Stripe, PayPal and RazorPay gateways. It would be nice though if they could include at checkout for payment by transfer to bank where we can just put our bank details and we can set up their account manually afterwards. This allows us to still get paid if the other options are unavailable to them.

Stripe is not available in all countries, and some customers and businesses don’t like to use PayPal due to the higher fees involved.

Another great feature is the Zoom scheduling for live virtual classes. You can set up all the dates and payment plans so when a purchase is made all the appropriate emails and login credentials are automatically sent to the customer. How good is that? Really good!

I uploaded a FHD video to see how It would stream. No problems here. Started immediately and never missed a beat. No point having heaps of storage space if it doesn’t stream video well. With a 100 GB of storage I think it will be enough for my prime content.

The page builders are easy to use and for those who need more flexibility there is an editor so you can use HTML.

Fellow Sumo-lings. I definitely recommend Mastera if you do any kind of online training, class teaching, one on one and consulting.
Had the onboarding call and found staff to be very helpful in answering my questions about Mastera. and getting me off to a good start. I over complicated everything having come over from WP. Mastera is a good and robust and easy to use.

For those who missed the LTD make sure you grab it the next time ‘round if they decide to do it again.
