A king in the making
Tried my hands on this gem and I think Maxi Blocks could rule the wordpress builder ecosystem in a few years as it caters to both the enthusiasts and the developers and everything in between.
I love the style cards and I wish they can expand on it to include other global settings like spacing, sizes and other stuff that make for consistent design.
The pattern library is massive that it is rare not to find something that gives you a starting point or jumpstart your creative design.
There are still the basic building blocks. I recommend they checkout The Plus Addon to develop robust design blocks.
The reason for giving 4 tacos is because there's still some time to maturity but this is already looking great. Support is so fast in responding to email - I've sent three over one week period - that I wonder if they sleep at all or I am just lucky with timezone.
Hopefully the theme comes in with a bang - not bugs - so the team can have the stability to develop into the future.
Godspeed.
Keep it up.

May 9, 2024Hi Donbe! Welcome to the world of Maxiđ. Thanks for the kind words of encouragement! Let me reply to your feedback.

-- Reply: Style cards have a ton of customisable settings in each card. To see the options you need to first choose a card then click "customise" and give a it new name. Now you can customise it. You can also export and import your custom cards in the same ui. See screenshots: https://i.imgur.com/8ZiXO23.jpeg . A question for you: After you had a look at the custom options in style cards let us know if you are still missing something.

-- Reply: Yes, this is exactly how we are different from other block libraries. We don't need more blocks to make complex design patterns. Our foundation blocks have way more functionality built in to each block. To use your words "The pattern library is massive", and we are just getting started. Why build and support 80 different block types when 20 foundation blocks can build everything you need? Less foundation blocks are easier to maintain and easier to learn.
Other block libraries have so many extra blocks because they need to sell them to you. We don't have feature-limited blocks, just to up-sell you the âfull-versionâ. Maxi gives all foundation blocks and features for free, where others charge for it (IE: they lock you in with features).
Our business model is different. The MaxiBlocks builder, plugin, custom blocks and upcoming MaxiBlocks theme, is entirely free â our revenue comes from selling Pro templates that save you time.
Hopefully this will convince you of the amazing value we provide and maybe it's even worth another taco?
Hope to connect with you in our support channel sometime.
Best wishes
Christiaan
