When the edit button on the editor doesn't edit, not a good sign, right?
You know those times you see a product on Appsumo and think... YEP!.... that's for me...MDirector was one of them.
So I bought in at the top tier and dived in.
First stop, play with a template. Take this baby for a spin!.
Hold up... When I try to change a background colour nothing happens.
There's not even a save button.
Automatic save? Must be.
Nope.
Try again,
Nope.
I know, record a LOOM video of that and a few more issues and send to creator so they see exactly what the issue is and get right on a fix.
I'm happy to help, after all we're on Appsumo, these are early stage iterations of the product, bugs are normal and helping each other and helping the creator get a build that is fit for the overall (monthly paying) market, right?
That, to me, is part of the deal.

Now I HATE to leave a bad review, especially when it seems Im the first reviewer.
But heres the thing;
The (automated) email I DID get this morning thanked me for being a user being a user for a month.
I quote from the first line of the email...
"It's been one month since you chose MDirector as your email marketing platform, and we hope to live up to it"
Well, Ive been a user for about three days.Actually, technically, Ive been a user for about 15 minutes, tops. That's because, when I use a product that does not pass the first test ( when the edit button on the editor doesn't edit, not a good sign, right?), then why move forward and waste more of my day when it's likely there will be more reasons to stop, try and figure it out, then create a LOOM to help, that gets watched, but ignored.
I'm busty, I want products that work.
So my experience, and I was clear on this to the creator in my email, was not good. I expected a response, none. Then I get an email thanking me for being a user for a month. They are not doing it right and they are expecting ME to leave a review.
Well guys, there's the review.
I hope you'll take away a few things from it, so that when you're product is not behaving and when your client takes the time to help you out by recording and sending the issues, you appreciate the effort and act accordingly.
