Q: I'm confused.
If I install the Median code on my site, does that mean it only works for sharing my site with someone? How about if I want to help clients on their site? Do they need to install the code on each of their sites if I want to help them? I'm pretty sure that's not the case, but I'm confused about how it works.

May 14, 2024A: Correct, Median can only screen share where our code is installed.
If you want to help clients on their site, then you would need to have your Median code installed on their site.
Median is designed for fast, easy customer support of the assets you own or support. If screen share is need on 3rd party sites or tools, then Median likely isn't a good fit....
Unless you can install you Median code on those assets.
Hi
I am still confused. Does it mean I need to ask my client to give me client login credentials for me to embed the code in the client sites only to have a screen share tutorial?
What happened after the problem was solved? I need to log in to my client's website and remove the code?
Thank you
Yes. Median is a JS application. Meaning, if the Median code is not installed on the page you want to screen share with... Then you can not screen share on that page...
So if you want to screen share on your clients pages, then you will have to install the Median code on their pages.
Izzul, if you need to offer screen share support on pages or sites that you do not own or manage, then I would not recommend Median.
Median is designed to make it easy to support ONLY your websites. If you need to support other sites that you don't have access to install code on, then Zoom, Teamviewer, or Google Meet, may be a better solution.
