The code snippet is tiny. I saw zero difference in site load speed. Using it is super fast and stupid easy. Like literally the dumbest visitor to your site can still get a guided tour by you. "hit the Ctrl button 5 times, the amount of fingers on one hand" and boom you can give them a tour.
Anyone doing online sales-sales reps, ecom, etc, should have this installed. If you sell software then you NEED this. Yes, you can do a Gmeet or Zoom call, and you definitely still need those tools, but SOOOO often you can do most of it with Median right on the page without wasting peoples time.
idk how to explain how simple and elegant it is. Go to their site and hit up the chat box and see. legit slick tool with SOOOO many uses.
btw it is on my business site, but is also going on our family reunion site (Great Great Great Grandpa) so that I can show the old people how to sign up for the email list lol. But really this is happening.
Check it out, add it to your site, get more sales and make customer service a LOT easier....or don't and be continually frustrated.
I really wanted to like and keep this product. I'm no stranger to code, but following the instructions for WordPress that were on the Median did not work on my WP site. I do have Thrive Themes, so I did a different way after some support from Spencer. It worked for a portion of my site, not all. I even installed the script directly on the pages that weren't working. Still nothing.
I messaged support again, but this time no response.
It was the perfect time to test since in 2 hours' time I had a client that actually needed me to be able to do remote help. But in 2 hours+, I could not get the app to function fully. So we jumped on Zoom which was agonizingly slow - but worked.
This fell painfully short of my needs and I will be re-funding.
Three tacos deducted -1 🌮 Setup was presented as simple for WP. It was not. When I added the code the way it was directed on the Median website, Spencer said he could not see the code was installed on my site. -1 🌮 From the backend, there is no knowledge base or help other than a chat that will send you to a schedule time for a demo if no agent is available. -1 🌮 The UI is NOT helpful in product familiarity. No tooltips, no nothing.
I wish this company much success. But at this time, I'm not able to use the product.

I am sorry you didn't have the experience you were looking for.
We do our best to provide clear "how-to" guides but every CMS is different and with different plugins. We understand that it is a big ask to have customers embed our code onto their website. As a result we are exploring options like a WP plugin for easier installation [coming soon].
As far as the knowledge base, we have a number of...

I will say, the simplicity of deployment is exceptional. Install a snippet and you're good to go. I haven't integrated with a live chat widget, so I will put that asterisk on this review from an early stage, but when working with WordPress clients, it's simple to join a session either through the active sessions or asking for a code they provide. From there, it's off to the races.
The UI is a bit...minimal. I don't want to offend it by calling it bad, but you can tell there's not a tremendous amount of effort put into the UI on the back-end. You just work in this tabular view and that's about it. It's not flashy, but it does work and as far as the end-user is concerned, it's a seamless experience.
Two Cons from where I'm sitting: 1) No confirmation of an agent joining or leaving a session. Naturally once the user sees their screen become possessed like a horror film, they should know you have access, but there's no other visual indication that you've assumed control once they've confirmed permissions. Trust me, as "obvious" as you think confirming permissions means the agent has joined, a different visual confirmation would affirm that you have not only given permissions, the agent has joined too. 2) The inability to terminate the session from the end user's side can be troublesome. As a user, because of #1, I have no way of knowing the agent has left and that I can feel comfortable and confident that I can browse without prying eyes. Some indication that the agent has left, that the session is currently connected, or the ability to terminate the session at their choosing will bridge the "peace of mind" gap.
Sort out the two above points, as well as a better UI and this will be a 5 taco deal in my opinion.

SapphireWolf, thanks for the review!
Can I be honest with you... We 100% agree with all your points...
In full transparency, I acquired the company last year and what you see is what we got. haha. In fact, one of the driving factors behind this promotion was to raise awareness of the app and raise funds to improve the over all look and feel.
We have a LOT of cool stuff coming down the pipe. I...

Yes i brought the deal. But not satisfied. I doubt they will spend time to make this topnotch sooner. Pretty basic, only 5% matured
