Q: Will Mediaplace have browser extension like Eagle?
I really love that I can just save file by drag an image directly to the folder I want. Will there be an Android app too? I wish I could access my library on my NAS.
A: Hi, cr3 files are already supported. If with "in local folder" you mean browsing your files instead of importing them into MediaPlace, yes, we'll add a new module for browsing your HD files.
A: Hi, the users that purchased via AppSumo have 100 free credits every month forever. But we are not offering this deal anymore. Right now you have 200 credits one time and you have the option to purchase credit packages
Q: I posted a review on TrustPilot and indicated my disappointment in AI's ability to generate hands correctly.
The response was "we've created some predefined styles that already take care of preventing bad anatomy" but I can't for the life of me find these anatomy styles and how to apply them. Can you provide some direction?
A: What I meant is that almost all the styles like Cinematic, Enhance, etc. come with a negative prompt that should avoid having bad anatomy, extra legs, etc. It's not 100% effective (all AI systems right now have this kind of issues), but there is room for improvements so we are considering to add a pre-processing on the prompt, analyze its content and adjusting the prompt and adding a negative prompt to grant better results. We are still experimenting it but I hope we will be able to publish it soon. Thanks
How about a local file then? I've found that working with AI for months now, I could burn through 100 credits and still not get what I need, however, if I build it in blocks and reference them (i.e. use character in [referenced image] and dress them in purple medical scrubs facing away from the camera) it gets there much faster. This also helps for more constant characters.
Q: I set up Mediaplace on an external Wasabi server space and used ExpanDrive to make the server look like a local drive.
When I set it up it all worked great. Now Mediaplce no longer recognizes the libraries. How can I fix this?
Q: Is there any planned support for vector file previews?
AI, EPS, etc. Mac OS Finder does this natively - without this feature, it seems rather impossible to effectively preview any vector files. Am I missing something here, is there a workaround to this?
First, This software is game-changing, and if anyone missed this deal they need to go and grab the new deal from your site before that deal goes away. With that being said, I actually have not quite been able to utilize the software to it's fullest potential as I am waiting for the ability for it to save and use local folders as it's source. Working on multiple files in photoshop, I was finding I would have to save outside of photoshop, then drag that saved file into media place, copying it somewhere else, then if I wanted to make a a new version, I would open from MP, save it back into a local folder, then have to drag that new file into MP. And when exporting layers into individual files (often 20+), I need to do the same. Find a folder locally, export them into there, then drag those files into MP.
I know I had mentioned this earlier in a Q, and you mentioned that was a feature your team was working on, so I was hoping if you had an update or rough ETA. I am super excited to integrate MP into my everyday workflow, just need this feature so I can! Also, is there a public roadmap that we can see what you guys have coming? Everything you are working is exciting.
Again, to the people who missed this deal, go to their website and grab it up. This software is a gamechanger.
Consider giving priority to the Chrome extension. There's so many possibilites, even if it requires the native app to be open or something. The most useful I can recall right now, is to be able to save/import images or videos from a website we are watching in 1-click, instead of having to copy/paste the url link into the native app. Even if the extension would be only doing this, would already be world-class!
A: Hi, glad you like our latest update! Converting raw files is harder that someone can imagine. That is why we haven't yet added this option yet. But we will keep working on it. Thanks!
A: Hi, what do you mean exactly? Did you redeem the AppSumo code? If yes, an email has been sent to you with the instructions on how to download the software and login. If you haven't received it please let us know by writing to support[at]mediaplace.io
A: Hi, possibly in the future. We have plans to create some cloud features to share folders and files. We are currently working on other features (AI, a new image/video editor, etc.). The cloud features will come next
A: Hi, I'm sorry, the AppSumo deal is over. We've just updated our website with another offer. It's not good as the AppSumo one, but still amazing for the value we are providing and for all the features we're releasing (AI Image Generation, AI Text Generation, a very powerful image/video editor and much more..). https://mediaplace.io
Thank you Thomas for your reply, and I am looking to get myself a copy becuase MediaPlace looks promising all in one prodcutivity set of tools that anyone should add to his/her arsenal of productiivity tools.
Q: Will you be adding any Ai features apart from the ones already mentioned?
Can you incorporate a similar image Ai function so when you have a file within your own media you would be able to upload it to mediaplace and get similar images generated?
Can you add an automatic alt text generator to help sort media files this would be awesome.
Colour extractor or picker so you can get clear colour codes from images and colour palettes that can be used as brand colour assets?
All features we can embed into the app will be included in the deal. For those ones who require new server infrastructure and that generate direct costs based on usage, additional charges might be required. But I guess a certain quota per month will be given for free to AppSumo users
A: Yes, this feature is automatically triggered when you import files, asking you if you want to import them anyway or skip. But you can also call it manually on some files or on the entire library
But as far as I can see, it doesn't read IPTC tags, which are essential in media management. I have lots of stock photos licensed through stock agencies. So the lack of IPTC/EXIF support is a bummer for me... I hope you can add it.
+1 on the reading, management and possibility to update the EXIF data of pictures and assets so its easier to find across without having the dependency that after we do the whole cataloging we can still use any other sorting system as the information would be preserved in the original file. Thank you!
Q: What happened to the log-in button.
Impressive Website. UI wise interesting. Where is the login for existing users?

Q: Hi!
Sounds great - but one elementary question: Will it be possible in future to work with Raw-files (like .cr3) in local folders?

Ahh.. I'll look into that. That makes more sense. thanks for the tip.
Q: Is it possible to have the MediaPlace AI reference existing images either in the library or by URL?
Thomas_MediaPlace
May 16, 2024A: Hi! Unfortunately you cannot access it via url, because MediaPlace is a desktop application.
