when I read the questions there seemed to be a few interested in the
uploading feature and a positive spin was given to it , eg
following 3 answers.

but later it seems frowned upon,
I purchased MG with the majority of use wanting to be uploaded videos.
for instance I attend online tai chi and chi gond classes
as a participant and would like to upload videos
to cut out important parts for practice .
so basically use meetgeek for editing function
and maybe to have some audio transcribed and cut into
sections also. as others have alluded to .
so do you frown upon this use case ?

As mentioned in another answer, Meetgeek is primarily designed as a tool for meetings, not for general file transcription. While we do have this functionality built-in, our main goal is for our platform to assist you with your meetings, making them easier to navigate and to extract their information.
We do not frown upon your use case, but it is not the main focus of our platform. Still, out of the 40h limit, we let users use up to 10h specifically for uploads, in case of exceptions like migrating some old recordings, or having a recorded call from another platform.
This is pretty much the same answer as the other one, but hopefully it helps as further clarification.

why the limit ?
another asked, but no answer was given.
it is a function of the software that some users
would like to use more than the primary function
it surely does not cost you more for this function so why limit ?
As I said, I purchased when the answer to uploading was just answered casualy
and it was not always mentioned that there was a limit to
the amount of uploads.
so what if someone uploads 15 hours per month ?
do you ban them ?
maybe you can properly clafiy.
if someone has purchased meetgeek primarily for editing uploads
because it was not clear before ?
would you rather that they refunded ???

Apologies for any lack of clarification! As mentioned, as a new tool, we have to put our focus and resources on features that we believe are part of our intended design. In the case of Meetgeek, those would be our meetings feature and capabilities, including developing new integrations and furthering our strengths on that end.
Our transcription tool for uploads is more of an additional feature, which is why it is limited, as it is not our main focus. We do understand that this can lead to some frustration and we apologize for the inconvenience. Still, we hope that you can give our other functions a try and see all that we have to offer! :)
