A liitle underwhelming but keeping it

It looks promising albeit a little clumsy in navigation. I don't really like the interface and managing admin settings is a bit confusing as you have to enter and then pay attention to whether you wish to start a meeting or adjust settings. The options on that front are limited perhaps due to the protocols being used, for example, backgrounds might be too much for servers to handle. Also, not really sure how to navigate to how the waiting room looks unless I guess I invite myself to a meeting :) but really needs a UI overhaul.

It looks like a promising product that has matured in the hands of an engineer, it needs a refresh in the hands of someone creative now!

I kind of like the comparisons with Zoom as they are brave, but I am tired of Zoom and do have issues over its increasingly complex menus which can make you miss some key privacy setting.

You won't be lost in any menus in Meetn, they are not deep but I would like to see some refinements and the opportunity to reduce the branding so a connect and disconnect is more about the meeting and less about the product.

In short, I rate it well. I will keep it and yes my Zoom renewal is this month and I had already decided to cancel. Teams will remain my professional tool and Meetn can serve as a useful ad-hoc sidekick for less formal meetings. I would like to suggest a little less pushy marking to users when they join as guests. That makes the experience feel a little too much like freemium rather than premium.

Thanks for the 5 taco review AlphBeta,

And I appreciate your direct feedback. We just kicked off the UI update project. We already had plans to make the admin mode less confusing. And we will reduce our branding.

UPDATE: Here's a mockup of the new UI we're thinking of: https://imgur.com/a/frDtizp
