A robust tool and a viable alternative to Zoom Meetings for solopreneurs !
What can I say! This tool is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted an alternative to Zoom Meetings, with the aim of hosting webinars for more than 100 people and with integrated tools, and I was completely won over by Meetn.
Where to start?
As a solopreneur I purchased Tier 2.
Pros:
- My live streams no longer bug (everything runs smoothly), even when sharing my screen with my webcam on.
- It's possible to record live streams and provide replay links directly via meetn.
- You can download the chat at the end of the meeting.
- There's a “panic” button you can use during webinars to mute all participants and disable their cameras.
- You can display comments on the screen during Q&A sessions (without integrating external tools like OBS).
- Able to set up a teleprompter (useful when recording a tutorial video for my students) without external tools, everything is integrated into meetn
- Add additional hosts to moderate the chat during webinars
- Add live-generated subtitles in the desired language
- Virtual backgrounds can be used and even added to match my branding
- Timers can be set (especially for Q&A sessions)
- Sort questions that have already been answered in the Q&A section
- option to kick a participant out of the meeting with a single click on a message sent via chat, and option to prevent them from reconnecting to the event if necessary
- option to prevent a participant from sending messages via chat without them knowing (this is a big plus)
- Participants can raise their hands
- There are lots of widget options (display buttons that link to an offer, add CTAs, pop-ups, display web pages without even having to leave the meeting or webinar, and all without tools external to meetn)
- Possibility to hide the number of participants and their names, which is useful for large events
- Possibility to record live streams by choosing the gallery view or simply the shared screen and the speaker's camera, which is useful for my replays to keep participants anonymous (they love it too)
- option to stream
- special bonus: the recent update allows my participants to use Meetn in my language, French, which makes it easier for them to use the platform (I'm so happy). Thank you so much for this update. I wasn't expecting it and didn't think I needed it, but my participants love it, so it's great.
Cons:
- I had trouble mastering the software at first despite the tutorials (because I was used to Zoom Meetings App).
- I don't know yet if it's possible to create a recurring meeting (i.e., every week).
Conclusion: is it worth it? YES, absolutely! I recommend it to anyone who often hosts webinars, masterclasses, online workshops, team meetings, etc.
