Q: Hi, observing the two questions below, one man says he has multiple websites and YouTube channels, intends to ...
sell them in the future, while a second man says he also has multiple sites/channels, but is not intending to sell, and it appears based on their selling intention you recommended two different types of licenses.
There is some confusion here since anyone can sell off his sites if the opportunity arises. Does this mean that if someone uses melodie music on a certain site or YouTube channel, he'll face copyright issues during the selling process?

May 14, 2024A: Hi wpcatalogueblog007, thanks for your question!
When you purchase a Melodie Lifetime subscription - regardless of whether it's a Single or a Business plan - the content you create and publish with our music is valid in forever. If you one day you sell a YouTube channel or your personal business featuring our music, the music created for that channel/business is safe forever. The new owner will not encounter copyright issues for videos published prior to selling. Obviously after sale, if the new owner doesn't have a Melodie licence, they can't add new content featuring our music.
For clarity:
The Single plan is intended for an individual, a person, a 'sole trader' business. For yourself, for your own use.
The Business plan is for freelancers, small businesses, and for those creating content for third parties.
It's not a common question - but in the case where you're very specifically creating businesses to be sold, and creating content for those businesses, you're effectively creating content for sale to third parties. Thus, in good faith I recommend purchasing the Business Plan.
Shout out if you have any other questions!
Evan
