Q: I am subscribed to PRO (yearly)
I am writing to express my outrage over the recent changes to the Merlin PRO Plan. I subscribed to the yearly plan because it offered unlimited chat and image generation. Now, without any notice, the plan has changed to only 15,000 image generation credits.
This is unethical and unfair. I subscribed based on your promise of unlimited image generation, and the lack of communication is unacceptable.
To potential subscribers: beware of this company's unethical business model, as they may change plan terms without notice.
I am deeply dissatisfied with this abrupt change. Please address this immediately.

Regret your poor experience. We have mentioned regarding system rate limits on our pricing page and on our policy page. Please note that even previously the image generation had a credit limit. Though it was communicated in dollar value and not in credit terms (so we had mentioned we offered $10 worth of daily cost limits). Many users had requested us to put in a credit limit so that there is transparency, hence we put them in. Please note that 15k credits is a lot and for literally 99% of our users never hit those limits (which we mathematically test to make sure that <1% users hit limits), and so will you never hit those limits in the most likely scenario. While we do want to increase them, we need to make sure there is sustainablity looped in the business model and that we are actually able to provide this service to you for long. Hence having rate limits helps us bridge that gap. As our infra cost decrease, we will increase those limits as we have done for GPT-4o and other top models.
