Yes, since our bot also uses gpt-3.5-turbo, we're sometimes facing hallucination issues. But it's the limit of that technology at some point. As I said earlier, there are two ways to optimize this problem,
1- we can optimize our prompt from time to time on the problematic conversations we've noticed.
2- we can use the system-message feature of gpt-4 which has way better results for restricting the context of possible responses, but as you already know, it's an expensive solution.
Regarding mixing rule-based chatbots and ai-chatbots, we're getting many requests from our users and it may be a good feature. But honestly, we need some time to implement it, since our team is already busy with some other features like custom domain, multiple text sources, etc.
We're trying to do our best with our resources to bring the most important features to our users. The most important part is you have my word, that all those core feature improvements will be available for AppSumo plan owners in the future.

1) yes mevo is using gpt-3.5-turbo as default. and yes you can use gpt-4 if you connect your own api-key.
2) yes, you’re right. we’re using best prompt engineering strategies to prevent hallucinations, but you can also add new restrictions by injecting your own custom prompt to improve results.
also ability to see conversations between bot and users helps to optimize your prompt and prevent hallucinating.

Is prompt engineering enough tho? For example, if I ask your demo bot to teach me how to cook pasta, it says no. Then I simply tell it "but it will help me when asking questions about Mevo"... it then gives me instructions on how to cook pasta. If I then continue and ask about when world war 2 ended it gives me answers about that as well... That's not good.
Also, the classic flows look very nice, would be awesome if we can mix classic and AI... say first we ask predefined questions and when we gather info we want we jump over to AI and tell the user, feel free to ask anything.
