I hate reading books. unless it's technical and very specific to my needs, I never read. For 'Million Dollar Weekend' though, I made an exception. Why? Because I feel like a square peg in a round hole. I hate the corporate world I'm in, I'm underutilized and know that I could achieve more. Im looking for a way out. The problem? I'm getting paid pretty well and have a family to feed. Comfortably numb in a way. I build many things but always have a blocker. I recently realized that I need to change my thinking. My biggest problem? I cannot monetize. It's like I'm scared of making money.
When getting the book offer to my email I hesitated. But then I saw it's free and I said to myself: Heh, why not? I was familiar with AppSumo for a while and used it quite a bit, but didn't know Noah. Then i figured... Ok I like this site and the creator may know a thing or two about business, so I ordered it. It was sitting on my desk for a while, But always in a place where I could create eye contact. I literally flirted with this book. Until one day I opened it and started reading.
There is no magic. I still hate reading and it's going slow, but after finishing 3 chapters I can finally say that this is what I need. I realize that the problems that Noah is talking about are real, and they are mine. I'm afraid to ask. For money. For ideas. For anything. So the exercises in the book do help me to release and don't give a f*ck about asking. In the chapter I'm in, Noah asked me to post this review.. so here it is since you asked. I'm Not yet where i'd like to be financially, but I am $11 dollar richer now due to another exercise in an earlier chapter. $1 of which from Noah himself.
At this point, I am already happy because I found the courage to do some things I haven't done before. Like asking for $1 from a foreign person. Noah - thank you. Noah's mom - if you are really reading it... salude. You literally won the Superbowl with this kid. And as for me... Well.. I'd probably continue on Audible.
I've been in self employed business for some decades now and much of the content, for me, was already known, but there were some good points that were helpful even for veterans.
If you're new to business, this can definitely offer up some nuggets of value that will make the investment of both your money in this book and time in reading worth while.
Especially pay attention to the "Freedom Number" concepts. I have used this for a very long time (not under the same name) and it is a guiding principal for helping you to determine some starting points that you have to get to in order to achieve success in your adventures.
super goodđź‘Ť I just received the book an hour ago and I can't get enough of it. I think this book is a must have. This is the best thing I've read since I could read. And I read a book almost every week. The first 20 pages are so motivating and you find yourself relentlessly hit. This book gets 5 stars from me.
Awesome book I've already learned so much just in the first 2 chapters. Already made my first dollar! I got the Hardback which is perfect for me! Do it NOW! Thanks Noah I've been waiting for a push and the training I need to get to the level I want to be at in my future business. Next up. Ready to Build it in Part 2. start finding out what my MDW experiment will be.
Was excited to receive the book at my doorstep today. TBH, i wasn't really expecting a hardcover when I placed the order. Initially I thought it was just a PDF or something downloadable. But yeah, then it brought me to Amazon, thinking it probably be a soft-cover kind of a book. So, I got to say that the hardcover edition was a pretty nice touch from AppSumo.
However the print for that cover, wasn't so much. It was rather a thin piece of paper printed to cover the book. If not handled with care, that piece would have gotten torn easily. No, I'm not judging the book by it's cover. Because if i had, then i would probably give it 3 tacos.
Haven't started on it yet, but I'm confident there would be something invaluable in there. Now that I got the book, it would make sense of that lost chapter edition which I downloaded a while back.

Some solid practical points
