Q: Question 2: On GPU Time and Setup Costs
A major pain point in MimicPC is the billing of GPU time during setup phases, even when the GPU isn’t actively generating or rendering. For example, users pay expensive rates on Ultra or Large Pro just to configure workflows or write prompts, which feels unfair. I suggest introducing a “Setup Plan” with minimal cost, designed specifically for non-rendering tasks. GPU billing could then start only when actual generation or rendering begins, ensuring users are charged fairly for what they use. This would make the pricing model more transparent and user-friendly. As things stand, it feels counterproductive to pay premium rates for basic setup tasks. Is this something you’re considering adding? It could alleviate frustration for many users while enhancing trust in your service.

Dec 26, 2024A: We understand how this can be a pain point, especially when users are charged for GPU time even when not actively generating or rendering.
To address this concern, we have implemented the following measures:
Mini Plan: We introduced a Mini Plan at just $0.19 per hour to provide a more affordable option during workflow setup. Additionally, we have launched a Mini Bargain Plan at $0.09 per hour, which utilizes pure CPU resources. This allows you to set up your workflows at a minimal cost, after which you can switch to a GPU plan for execution.
Ongoing Improvements: We are committed to continuously optimizing this process to ensure a smoother and more seamless experience for our users.
