Q: Hi, I looked through the questions and am still confused about guides, groups, and members.

I have two main questions:

1 - Can anyone view my Guides and Guidebooks that are not in a Private Group?

For example, if I make a guide for DomainX.com can anyone with the extension view it? Or, is there a way to make it visible only to my clients?

I get that Groups and Group Members are for staff/collaborators/etc and they can make changes to the Guides. This is limited based on the deal (10 & 100 tier 2). This is great for my team.

However, I want to create SOPs, How-Tos, and so on for clients. I want them to be able to use but not edit the guides. AND, I want these guides to be available to my clients ONLY; not everyone with the extension.

Is this possible? How does it work? Please clarify...

2 - How will this work with client websites?

Do I need to create a New Guide every time I build a client's site (with its own domain)? Or, is there a way to create one guide that shows clients how to do 'Activities X, Y & Z...' on their website?

For example, can I make just one guide that shows how to create a blog post in WordPress and have that work for all my clients even though they will use the extension in their WP-Admin with their unique URL?

Thanks and have a great day!

A: Hi there,

Thanks for your detailed questions!

1 - "Can anyone view my Guides and Guidebooks that are not in a Private Group?"
You have the option to set it up this way (if you DO want anyone to see your content), or you can set privacy options to control who sees it. You have total control here.

You CAN create a Group for collaborators outside of your organization. This enables you to share specific Guides and Guidebooks with targeted clients - this content would NOT be visible to everyone with the extension.

2 - "How will this work with client websites?"
Based on the URL structures, you have two options.
1) Click on "Advanced Settings" and toggle on either Sub-domains (if your URLs are subdomains of a TLD).
2) We can set you up on the back end to copy your guides as many times as you need so you can assign them to your clients' specific URLs. We don't yet have this capability in the product, but we can do it.

Feel free to reach out to support@minervaknows.com if you have more questions or would like more direct support.
