Better than ContentGroove...becoming on par with Opus.
I bought Minvo after ContentGroove and even after locking in a 10-year Black Friday deal with Opus. ContentGroove never rubbed me the right way...the site feels janky, and the UI was uninspiring. I should have known better looking at the logo. I quickly refunded it.
Minvo is slow at the moment...that's the major downer but not a killer. The audio selection could also be expanded on...but being able to add your own audio is better anyway.
The "magic" AI features are also cool. Translation is awesome. AI B-roll thing replaced the video with a cheesy woman dancing. I'm not sure if I'd used that bit since video is shifting away from "retention" editing with all the quick cuts and emojis...HOWEVER, it's nice to have...and Minvo has it!
Being able to hire a "Minvo VA" is a great idea as eventually you'll want to just make the content and pass the baton without having to hire someone and then spending upfront money as they learn the tool. The ability to post directly to social is a timesaver for sure!
I like the text-editing features that mimics Descript. I'd also like to see a feature that Descript came out with that adds AI "eyes" that look forward so you can have eye contact with the screen if you need to read a script. That's kind of a weird feature request, but I'm weird.
All in all, I probably won't renew my Opus Black Friday subscription.
