So I finally got around to testing Minvo out and I did a video review which I will leave below for anyone interested in seeing Minvo in action.

So I think most people that are interested in a software like Minvo is because they are looking for an Opus alternative and to be honest, this could do exactly that.

Its not JUST an Opus alt though, it has AI assistant features that aren't even on Opus's radar so not only do you get to replace Opus you also can drop ChatGPT since theirs knows your video, you can use Minvo to create socials, you can get content ideas related to your video, and much much more.

No limits on Socials so you can go hog wild with your experiments.

NONE of that is available with Opus.

Now lets get into the down and dirty of what you NEED to know.
Its not all rainbows and sunshine, with the switch you do lose out on some work flow speed and really the ability to just pump out clips at high speed.

My biggest complaint is the speed of the platform. It is quite slow and it is a noticeable difference.
The editor is horribly slow and you have to edit almost every clip due to no caption presets on generation.
I am hoping this improves after Appsumo rush dies down.

There are a few issues with the brands settings, you don't have brand presets, so brands work more like project folders than actually helping with the content creation with standardized brand settings that are preloaded.

Another big issue with brands are the socials, as of now every brand has access to every social so once you get past a few brands the possibility of posting content on the wrong profile could become a serious problem.

Team settings are nonexistent, so no VAs to help with only a few brands and keeping them away from ones they have no business working on. This increases risk of abuse by bad actors and really needs to be fixed, especially for the higher tiers with teams.

There are a lot of quality of life improvements that need to be added as well, like a schedule button on the Moments screen, sometimes you don't need to edit and just want to schedule that puppy right then and there, but NOPE.

The scheduling calendar is nice but should be drag and drop to make changes easier, or some way to reschedule posts in an easier manor. Right now having unlimited socials is just cool, not useful, because the scheduling system is not intuitive and just feels clunky at best.

Now I saved the biggest MISS when compared to Opus and I am hoping this gets fixed because it is the major difference in quality between the 2 software.

And that is face tracking, especially on multi person podcasts. I am not positive if this is an editor issue or an AI issue because in the editor I see the changes made to view the right person at times but its still showing a person not talking(see video).

So if your doing podcasts constantly(as of now), this might not be the way to go unless you plan on going in and fixing the issue manually every time.

It works great on most other videos and the AI B roll and emojis are really cool and there are WAY more ways to optimize/edit a video in Minvo, and with more options to consider it does take long per video.

In my limited experience the workflow takes over 2x as long.

So overall Minvo isn't perfect but the deal they are offering on Appsumo is absolutely stellar. T2 will replace Opus Pro.

Everything above that is better.

As much as it seems like I am hating on Minvo I really like and recommend it.

This is a 5 taco deal, Minvo is a 4 taco software(it has some things that need to be improved) but this deal is fantastic so putting both together and adding in the potential of Minvo to actually become the market leader this is an easy purchase and just hope they can add in the upgrades I outlined in this review.
