I usually pass on mobile app builders as none seem to be simple enough to use or their *too simple* and just take a basic mobile web version of your website and make it into an app.

Then AppSumo recently brought two app builders that caught my attention: Mobiroller is one of them.

I haven't really had a chance to dive into everything yet, but a buddy convinced me by going through the builder with me. Seems fairly simple to make something that's way more than just a basic web app in App form. Exactly what I'm looking for.

The tiers are generous, but one thing set Mobiroller apart from the other good app builder deal I mentioned: Unlimited push notifications. This is deal maker imo. Yes there are third-party push notification companies and some offer free plans (although who knows how long.) The ability to have push notifications built right in is killer.

One recommendation for Mobiroller is that I'd love for their to be App templates that can easily set us up with everything we need for some popular types of applications (video channels, news app, audio soundboards, etc.) so we can just plug it in and then customize colors, fonts, button, etc. Yes, I know there are general templates, but I'm talking about templates for specific kinds of apps.

Oh, another plus, the company has been around for a few years so it's not a fly-by-night operation.

Looking forward to diving in, creating some apps complete with push notifications.
