May 14, 2024A: The actual call requests of Modula gallery depend on your settings.
For example, Modula comes pre-bundled with a lazyLoad script called lazySizes. Enabling it, will add +1 extra script to load.
In total, a maximum of 7 call requests that can be turned into 2 with the help of the amazing Autoptimize plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/autoptimize/). By concatenating CSS & JS scripts, you essentially turn it into 2 requests.
And yes - Modula works great with Autoptimize already :)
Alternatively, there's this: https://www.wpbeginner.com/best-wordpress-photo-gallery-plugins/ (keep in mind though that Envira Gallery used to be a WPBeginner product and their requests number incldude images in a gallery as well).

I'll skip then. Too many unnecessary plugins that damage the performance of the website. Good luck
2 calls requests/page load can't damage your load speeds :)
Actually, in nowadays modern servers and the age of HTTP/2 more requests isn't a problem. TTFB, however, is. Or slow DNS lookups.
These usually come at a premium and can be found only with expensive hosting companies. Reducing your total call numbers doesn't help one bit IF your server's slow to respond to those calls to being with.
Nonetheless, I do respect your decision and I really hope you find a plugin that's faster than Modula.
Warm regards,
Cristian.
Not 2 call requests but "additional" 2 calls. Average WP site with minimum plugins has 40-70 calls that's a lot already. To install one more plugin that add more calls and then install one more plugin to reduce them and so on.. this way in 2 months of updates I have to rebuild the site again.
Good luck
