Q: Compare to MainWP - limited to Starter Plan and only 90 WebSites

My main concern with Tier 5 ($499) is the uncertainty about whether we will receive the key new features (roadmap and beyond). All plans are based on Modular DS' Starter Plan, so there is no guarantee.

MainWP currently offers a lifetime deal (LTD) at $599 (recently $499) with unlimited websites. Although you provide some storage and do not require plugin installations into WordPress, there are currently very few options and integrations available compared to MainWP. Many of us already have backup solutions (like WPvivid) and cloud storage options (like pCloud), so I don’t see much benefit in adding Modular DS to my arsenal, especially since we are unsure about receiving all future updates – they will go probably / mainly in your Business plan. Additionally, 90 websites is a very limited offering for AppSumo users.

Any thoughts?

A: Hello be.cr.

I understand that. But I can tell you there has never been a tool like Modular DS on AppSumo that offered unlimited websites. Because it is not sustainable with our business model. MainWP is a self-hosted solution, Modular DS is a cloud solutions¡ and we have to pay for every single website you connect to the platform. So we will never risk the long term health of Modular DS in order to do a bigger promotion and get money now, since it is far from our goal.

We are going to create the best WordPress management solution out there, and we will be here for the long term. I can assure you that our plans are to incorporate most features MainWP has, but without the need of external plugins. And most of them will be in the starter plan.

And lastly, we think we are already offering a better experience than other tools like MainWP, since we have many users switching, as you can see in our reviews :)

Hope it is enough to convince you now, or maybe the time is in the future. But would love to have you on board!
