Gem of a product - Definitely not a Fixer Upper
I’ve spent a full day testing Modular DS, and I must say, I’m quite impressed.
As a long-time user of similar software like ManageWP and IcontrolWP, I approach this type of solution with a healthy dose of skepticism, especially since many previous WordPress-based options have fallen short in terms of usability, quality, and user experience. Additionally, most of them kept backups on your server rather than offsite, which limited redundancy.
After several hours of testing and engaging with support, I’m convinced this one is a keeper. In fact, I plan to upgrade my Tier 4 to Tier 5. Modular DS is a polished tool that truly exceeds expectations.
The Reporting feature feels thoughtfully designed, functioning logically and generating excellent reports that can incorporate traffic statistics from GA4 or Search Console, as well as CNAMEs for custom domains.
There are a few features I’d love to see, such as a rollback option and a visual comparison tool, but these aren’t deal breakers since third-party solutions can help bridge the gap while we wait for those features to be added.
The recent integration of Tier 5 mapping into the Business plan, following numerous community requests, demonstrates that the Founder values user feedback and is committed to fostering a long-term relationship with customers.
Kudos to Hector and the Team for implementing such a great product in a tough space.
Modular DS is a true gem that anyone on the WordPress platform won’t want to overlook.
