Q: Questions About Video Ownership, Monetization, and IP Use
Who owns the full rights to a video once it’s generated and downloaded?
Can I use and monetize the video freely for my business, or does Mootion retain any rights to it?
Are user-generated videos or uploads ever used to train or improve the AI model, or are they kept private?
If a third party claims copyright infringement on a generated video, what is Mootion’s policy or process for resolving that?

Mootion content is under the Creative Commons 4.0 (CC4) license, so you don't have to worry about copyright issues when sharing your videos on platforms like YouTube for monetization.
Who is considered the creator, though? I believe you're saying users would be licensed to use the content (under CC4), but that Mootion is the author/creator and therefore retains ownership & all underlying rights. Correct?
How is uploaded content used? Is there an impact on our ownership of *that* content? How can Mootion take ownership of output if users own the input upon which it relies?
Great question — I’m wondering the same.
• Who’s legally considered the creator/owner of generated videos?
• Can users fully own and monetize the outputs?
• Are uploaded files ever used to train the AI, or kept private?
I’m just hoping to understand how ownership and IP protection work both for inputs and outputs, especially for creators using Mootion for branded or commercial work.
