(Still?) Not what I wanted/expected...
Today I tested Mootion (Tier 3) extensively and over several hours on a concrete project. I used both the "Idea to Video" and the "Script to Video" modes.
Pros:
The platform is basically easy to use.
In principle, a reasonable storyboard will be created (see below for details on Cons).
The speed (e.g. input analysis, storyboard creation or rendering of scenes) was pretty fast and smooth.
Video, storyboard or thumbnails can be downloaded individually at the end.
As soon as you have created a good storyboard, you can use the scene images as reference images to create the appropriate videos via other platforms, as the creation via Mootion sometimes consumes a lot of credits.
Cons:
Storyboard:
32 scenes are automatically created in the "Idea to Video" mode (no prior setting option). In "Script to Video" mode, I selected "Paragraph as a Scene". Despite this, significantly more scenes were created in the storyboard than the number of paragraphs I entered (all paragraphs were within the 300 character limit). This drags out the storyboard unnecessarily and would consume an unnecessary amount of credits for all scenes during video creation. In my case, from about 1000 credits for the "base model" to 9500 for Veo 3.1 = I couldn't even create a video with Tier 3 (8000 credits/month).
Character consistency is not consistent. The created character was not described in detail in the first prompt. If I adjust the character accordingly, this adjustment will not be applied to the further scenes ("regnerate") = the adapted character scene design will not be used as a reference. Since there is no detailed description of the character in the first picture prompt, it becomes almost impossible to keep the same character for the following scenes.
For regenerating an image I could not upload a reference image anywhere to enable a consistent character over a reference image.
Despite specific prompts for adjustments, the images in "regenerate" are sometimes not created appropriately.
Unfavorable storyboard descriptions and image prompts were created for it, e.g. automatically created storyboard describes the fur of a pony "soft as moss" -> on the corresponding pictures of the ponies moss can be seen everywhere on the fur of the pony. Corresponding adjustments over several scenes is very time-consuming.
Editor:
The editor function at the end to set the titles, subtitles, scenes, transitions, voiceovers and music etc. is very simple and rudimentary. For example, I can only define scene or transition effects once, these are then automatically applied to all scenes/transitions.
The German voices (also "Pro" = highest quality level) do not sound particularly realistic and there is also only a very small selection. There is no way to upload and use your own voiceover.
There is only a small selection of AI avatars (cartoon style only) that can be selected for an accompanying presentation.
There is also only a manageable selection of good background music – and unfortunately no upload function to use your own background music.
To be honest, I'm not sure yet if I'll keep Mootion. The idea is good, and the basic operation is simple. But many important features (including character consistency, prompt editing) still feel unfinished. I'll see what else happens/is developed within the next 60 days.
Nevertheless, I wish the team every success and hope that Mootion will continue to develop well in the coming weeks.

Mar 3, 2026Hi there 👋 Thank you for taking the time to test Mootion so thoroughly and for sharing such a detailed review — we truly appreciate the effort you put into it.
We’re really glad to hear that you found the platform easy to use, the storyboard logic reasonable, and the overall generation speed fast and smooth. It’s also great to know that the downloadable assets and storyboard flexibility were useful for your workflow.
At the same time, we sincerely appreciate your candid feedback regarding scene control, credit usage, character consistency, and the current editor and voice limitations. For you to tweak further on character consistency across scenes, we recommend using the same character reference throughout your video which is described in the image prompt(you can find it under each scene - regenerate - the text is there). These are important areas, and your input has been shared with our internal team. We’re continuously improving the workflow, consistency engine, and editing capabilities, and feedback like yours directly helps shape our priorities.
Thank you again for your honest perspective and for giving Mootion a serious test. We’re committed to improving step by step and hope you’ll see meaningful progress in the coming weeks. 🚀
