AI video generation tools are becoming increasingly affordable and widely available. I have experimented with several of them, and while many are impressive and visually striking, most rely on ongoing subscriptions that can become expensive over time. Motionvid stands out by offering strong results through a one-time purchase via their LTD, which makes it a pretty appealing option.

That said, Motionvid may not be the best choice for producing video content at scale, without having to pay for extra credits. For example, it is very easy to upload a multi-slide PDF and generate a polished one-minute summary video complete with music and high-quality voiceover. However, this process used 185 credits from my 500 credit tier. At that rate, I would only be able to generate about three one minute videos per month. From a business or bulk production perspective, this limitation is important to consider. Even doubling the available credits would still only support a small number of videos each month.
To be fair, It is also worth considering what Motionvid appears to be optimized for, and actually offering. Based on what I can interpret in the product page, it seems they might be less focused on end-to-end video production and more focused on creating high-quality animated visuals such as charts, images, and graphs that can be inserted into videos or presentations; perhaps in need to be created elsewhere. Viewed this way, Motionvid feels best suited for specialized and high-impact use cases rather than high-volume video generation. After all, if you insert 2 or 3 well-generated animations in a video or presentation, that elevates the quality of the whole thing and you won't need to spend all your credits in one project.

This reflects my perspective based on hands on use, and I will definitely come back here and change my review if I discover I was wrong in my assessment.

I’ll be honest: I originally refunded my subscription because I wasn’t blown away by the infographics side of things. The results just didn’t quite click for what I needed.

Then I gave the video creation tools a proper go… and wow. The entire deal is worth it for the video features alone.

What completely sold me is the Angles feature. It’s an absolute game-changer for character work. I create children’s picture books and animations, and being able to control camera angles, perspectives, and character positioning so precisely has taken my workflow to a whole new level. The characters feel alive, the scenes have real depth, and I’m getting professional-looking results in minutes instead of hours.

Sure, I’ve seen a few people grumbling about credits, but after seeing the quality of the output I’m getting, I’m more than happy to top up whenever I need to. It’s genuinely premium stuff and totally worth it.

I can’t wait to see where the MotionVid team takes this next. These guys are building something special, and I really hope they stick around for the long haul.

After more than 1000 credits used I can confidently say that this is one of the most useful and dynamic ways there is to make motion graphics, generate images and video with the latest AI models and, create animated information for videos that I’ve ever seen.

This tool is for people that lack After Effects skills or any other motion graphics software but still want their B-roll to look stunning.

I'm not going to say that it is perfect, but it gets constant updates and after a lot of back and forth with the dev in the support, that listens to you and is very kind and helpful, they managed to fix most of my problems almost immediately rolling out a update or the next day!

Even if everything is not perfect yet, knowing they are constantly making something even greater than this is phenomenal.

In the MotionVid prompt you can even give your own assets, tell it if you want audio and sound effect generated as well with the request and it makes everything the way you want while keeping those assets true to what they look like when you sent them or if you want use those as inspiration to generate whatever you would like, I used it mostly for seamless smartphone zooms with a vignette around the frame, animated text bubbles that light up for however many seconds you want giving the information I want it to and then fade out.

The built-in text enhancer is also really useful because it even says how long each thing will stay animated and on screen, giving you a lot more control and knowing how to use the tool to its fullest potential.

One super cool thing as well is that after it generates your request, you can tell it what you want different by sending images or just explaining what scenes you want removed or changed and it does it with no problems.

With it's timeline you can add or remove sounds, images and other assets directly in the tool itself withouth needing to do it in the prompt. The generated outputs can also sometimes be changed without using AI credits, like changing text colors and highlights, background removal and other things, you can even manually edit things like the dynamic zoom, choosing exactly where it starts and ends zooming without using credits.

One problem I found, but I believe will be fixed soon, is that even when you only want to change a few small things, like the way the background looks or change how an animation looke it can still take a lot of credits almost as if you are remaking the whole thing from scratch. One time it charged me around 300 credits just because I wanted to change the way that the text bubble animated going out and change another small thing, basically it recreated the entire scene changing everything one by one charging for all those changes.

The dev already said they will fix that and even showed me a workaround, so I believe very soon issues like this will not happen anymore.

Another issue is with exports, because things like glowing text bubbles on transparent backgrounds can sometimes look rough and messy instead of having that natural fade that exists inside the MotionVid timeline, but again I believe this will also be fixed soon.

Like I said, the dev is really paying attention to my texts and improving things almost as soon as I mention them, sometimes by the next day but still very quick, I’m really happy with the support and overall aspects of this tool.

I have been looking an Ai app that can animate Map and you just came up with the right time. The app has many options to choose from. I love it! It’s running a bit slow, but please continue with the improvement. I trust you!

I see a lot of reviews mentioning that this tool is okay at best for creating videos or that it burns through credits. I really haven't explored the video creation aspects of this tool.

For me, however, this tool has been extremely useful for creating custom infographic visuals for documentary-style YouTube videos. It is especially strong when I need to explain complex ideas visually - timelines, comparisons, systems, processes, scientific mechanisms, and cause-and-effect chains.

What I like most is that the visuals can be tailored closely to the script, which is something stock footage often cannot do. It helps make the video feel more polished and makes difficult ideas easier for viewers to understand.

I see that others have commented on the infographics-generating aspect of this tool, but from what I have seen, most use only the templates. Where I believe this tool really shines is when you use a prompt to create a completely custom infographic.

There is a learning curve with prompting, but once you understand how to structure the request, the results are impressive. Highly recommended for creators making educational, science, history, or documentary content. Five stars.
